In addition to its normal operations, the Old Prison Museum hosts paranormal investigations and virtual convict lockdowns throughout the year. The old Montana prison has also been featured in a variety of film productions and offers the perfect backdrop for your next film.

The Old Prison museum complex is also home to the Montana Auto Museum which has over 1,220 antique automobiles on display. While much of the Southwest Montana region gained fame for the gold discovered, Deer Lodge’s history is primarily agricultural. The Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site, a working ranch using the techniques of the late 1800s, offers a glimpse of life on the American Frontier.
